We treat the whole range of urological disease: cancer of the prostate, kidney and bladder, kidney stones, benign prostatic enlargement, urinary incontinence and functional disorders, and kidney transplantation. Whenever a disease can be treated without removing an organ, that is the option we look for first.
The department provides a range of techniques according to each patient’s condition and clinical indication, including organ-preserving surgery, focal treatment, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, and laser treatment of stones.
Clinical and translational research is a separate part of the department’s university mission. Its teams have contributed to more than 550 papers indexed in PubMed, including 380 published between 2015 and 2025.
